What we will do
- Give you the middle room, whole, for up to twenty-eight people, at either service.
- Take the whole tavern for seventy-two, on a Monday or a Tuesday, outside July and August.
- Agree a shape by telephone the week before — mezedes, then whatever is best on the board, then halva — and price it per head so you know where you are.
- Put a name on the table, move the furniture, and let you bring your own wine at eight euros a bottle.
What we will not do
- Promise a specific fish weeks ahead. We do not know what the boats will land and neither does anyone else.
- Serve a printed set menu that ignores the board.
- Take a wedding of a hundred and forty people. There are rooms for that, and this is not one.
- Play a playlist. There is a radio, and it is usually off.
Money
Ten euros a head as a deposit, taken off the final bill. Cancellation more than seventy-two hours ahead returns it in full. Inside seventy-two hours we keep it, because at that point we have bought the fish.
