Regulation (EU) No 1169/2011

Allergen information, written down honestly.

Our menu changes every morning, so a printed allergen chart would be out of date by lunch. Here is what we can promise and what we cannot.

The fourteen

Under Regulation (EU) No 1169/2011 we hold written allergen information for every dish served, covering cereals containing gluten, crustaceans, eggs, fish, peanuts, soybeans, milk, nuts, celery, mustard, sesame, sulphur dioxide and sulphites, lupin and molluscs. The folder lives at the pass. Any waiter will bring it to the table without being asked twice.

What we can promise

  • Every dish on the board can be described to you ingredient by ingredient by the person who cooked it.
  • We will change how a fish is cooked to remove an allergen — charcoal instead of flour, oil instead of butter — and it will not cost you more.
  • Our bread contains wheat. Our taramosalata contains fish and, on most days, bread. Our saganaki contains milk. Our lakerda contains fish and sulphites.
  • Sulphites are present in all wine, the retsina included.

What we cannot promise

This is one kitchen with two grills, one oven and eight pans, and fish is handled on every surface in it. We cannot guarantee the absence of cross-contact with fish, molluscs, crustaceans or gluten. If your allergy is severe, please tell us before you sit down so we can be honest with you about whether we are the right room tonight.

In writing

If you would like the allergen information for a specific dish in writing before you visit, email [email protected] and Sofia will answer it herself, usually the same day.

Tell us before you order.

A quiet word when you sit down is worth more than a note on a booking form.
